This is 'Marsh Sprite', a 23 ft Waterbug Springer, with a transferable mooring, in Springfield Marina on the Borders of Hackney and Walthamstow.

The 'Sprite's' compact design and width make it perfect for navigation and ease of mooring, along the waterways. With very affordable, rent; mooring fee are £230 per month (pay per metre of boat). It's like living in the 90's again!

The marina is on the lower reaches of the River Lee, Walthamstow Marshes nature reserve. A Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI), surrounded by nature, yet still right in the heart of London's East End.

The Marina has all the facilities you could need including; secure access, a workshop, chandlery, modern toilet and shower block, washing machines and tumbledryers. And best of all a friendly community run bar, one of the cheapest in London! Many community events run throughout the year; film, live music, yoga, comedy and craft nights, alongside workshops and organised cruises.

The vessel itself is a project! but perfectly liveable and is the cheapest for sale on the marina by over £50,000!

Needs some attention, especially the exterior paintwork, but much commensurate with age (built in 1991) And over a few long weekends could easily be brought back to their once former glory. The sturdy construction, is what makes the Springer Waterbug model continue to gain in popularity and boast their own 'Waterbug' fan club.

Last out of the water and overseen by the marina workshop in 2019.
Will need to come out again for blacking and new anodes.
