Gloucester Gem is a unique 40ft narrowboat with better than average headroom and an efficient design making best use of space.

She’s got a reliable BSC1500 engine which was refurbished to a great standard in the last 5 years.

The hull was surveyed in Sept 2021 and shows that there is no issue with pitting. The hull was manufactured in high quality, high purity steel.

Accommodation

One cabin contains a double mattress. There is ample space for a sofa bed in the saloon.

A spacious bathroom contains a shower, a pump-out toilet (not currently used) and a composting toilet.

The kitchen area has a 5 volt fridge, a sink, a gas cooker and ample storage.

The saloon has enough space for a sofa, table and chairs.

Two skylights let in natural light from above.

A side hatch provides access onto the canal and can be used as a secondary exit.

A large multi-fuel stove is in the saloon.

A cool storage room with solar fan for air circulation is in the bow of the boat, accessed via the cabin. Further storage can be found underneath the bed in a number of deep stores.
