*UPDATE- we are having her taken out and blacked on the 18th July.
We are selling Omega, our narrowboat we happily lived on for 5 years.
It's an unusual looking boat with a large stern (big enough for 4-5 people) and has two doors at the bow. The interior was fitted out into a live-aboard by the previous owner.
Open plan kitchen/living room with gas cooker, sink, 12v/240v fridge, Paloma instant water heater, 3 seaters full-size sofa, skylight, 12v flatscreen TV, Morso multi-fuel stove with backburner that heats water-filled radiators.
A walk through bathroom with a small bathtub/shower, sink and pump out toilet.
We used the bow as a bedroom which has enough space for a 150cm double bed but there’s also a bedroom with space for a single bed and has cupboards for clothes and other storage.
It has a large water tank and waste tank. Water last 3-4 weeks with normal use for 2 people, showers every day, and pump out toilet every 5-6weeks.
It has an onboard Farrymann 4.5kw, 240v diesel generator with an electrical start panel hooked up to a Sterling Pro Charge Ultra battery charger, which charges batteries very quickly. The batteries are 5x110h, about 5-month-old, very high quality and in very good condition. Enough power for about a week of normal use, lights, TV, phones charging, etc..The generator start panel sometimes has a small electrical problem that needs fixing. It works most of the time though.
The engine is a Mitsubishi K6, strong and reliable. Never any issues. Serviced 6 months ago.
Gas locker with 3x13kg Calor gas bottles. BSS certificate is valid until March 2021. It passed with no issues.
It's perfect for someone looking for a cheap and easy going live-aboard for CC'ing, but it needs some work, mainly exterior. It's due for blacking this year, the roof and the blige have some rusty spots which need to be done, and could do with painting, hence the cheap price.
We don't have a recent survey but feel this is reflected in the price.
I am happy to talk about taking a deposit and paying in full after the survey.
Please get in contact to discuss.
