We are the second owners since 2015 of this versatile liveaboard for the past 5 years. Recently we extended our permanent mooring and now fully retired we are planning a new build so expect to sell Paneke in the next 6 to 12 months.
Paneke started life on the Kennet and Avon and was built to order by a young engineer at Balfour Beatty who supervised the design and professional fit out. He and his partner lived on board around Bristol and Bath for 5 years when they bought a house and we bought the boat and had it trucked to Stansted Abbotts.

Paneke was built with continuous cruising in mind but has been static apart from minor cruising and since 2016 she has been moored on our permanent London mooring.
She has therefore had very little hull exposure and remains in very good condition. Last out of the water in 2018 she was blacked, re anoded and inspected at Stansted Abbotts marina and a full photographic inventory kept.

n 2021 Paneke was professionally repainted and her signwriting renewed.

Throughout the engine has been run regularly , fuel tank kept topped up and annual maintenance carried out. Overall the boat has been carefully maintained and remains in good condition.

Large capacity stainless steel water tank 500 litres approx. Gas bottle locker accepts 19kg bottles (or two of 13 kg)

Propulsion Shanks 0535 engine (38 hp) and 4 blade prop and 2 upgraded alternators (both new in 2021)

Professional 240v ringmain and Consumer Unit. 30ma RCD trip switch, 2 x 16 amp MCB breakers, 240v Shoreline socket. Plus 12 v wiring loom with circuit breakers (by LoomTech System 105 Wiring Harness). 4x Brushed chrome double sockets

1600W Sterling Pro Combi Pure Sine Wave Inverter / Charger

Solar powered 32 inch TV with its own lithium battery pack runs for 12 hours between charges

Dual hot water systems provided by calorifier / immersion heater plus hot water boiler thermostatic shower controls

Enter hatch from cruiser stern deck, 3 steps with storage, electricity panel starboard,

Paneke is equipped with a Hyundai 2.8Kv remote control generator ( simple keyfob operation - see video attached) which powers all appliances including electric kettle, toaster, bathroom heaters, electric blanket etc and recharge batteries if solar power is not sufficient (e.g. in winter). The generator is low hours (300 approx) and has been well maintained since it was purchased 2 years ago.

At additional cost we have a Lithium combined power generator (1400 Wh) which has an integrated inverter. This versatile gadget stores power and runs appliances up to 1000 w including a 1 litre travel kettle, toaster, TV , mixer, electric blanket etc as necessary. It has also 4 USB ports for charging devices and a 12volt feed. It has its own solar panel and can be charged through the mains from the gennie / shorepower or by solar. This is an excellent portable system that creates great flexibility for off grid living as it is housed in a PC sized case with a carry handle. Thus it can be used and charged elsewhere away from the boat as needed and used for wild camping and other recreational activities.

Please note inventory in the boat sale price includes the remote start Huawei Generator with two keyfobs, two solar panels and 10A controller.

The furniture, IT equipment, solar TV, Igenix heater and Lithium battery pack are not included in the sale price but may be available seperately by mutual agreement.

In short Paneke is a well equipped boat, ready for continuous cruising and kitted out with all the things one needs for comfortable and convenient off grid living with maximum flexibility. She is easy and responsive to handle and fits anywhere making her an ideal boat for both experienced and less experienced alike. We have loved owning, caring for and living aboard her and hope to find appreciative owners to take over as custodians of our lovely boat.
