Haggerston London UK
Beautiful 57 ft narrowboat Lorien is currently cruising in the Central London area. She was taken out of the water for blacking and survey in July this year, and her hull is in excellent condition. Lorien is a well-maintained liveaboard, with all systems, including engine, electrics, gas, diesel central heating, and water, all in excellent working order. She is an ideal live-aboard for first-time buyers and seasoned boaters alike. Reluctant sale due to new arrival.
We commissioned a hull survey (available on request) when we took her out for blacking in July this year. She received a clean bill of health with average hull measurements of 10mm (baseplate) and 5.9 - 6mm (sides), consistent with the survey undertaken when she was blacked in August 2017. Photos (and a video) of the blacking of the sides and the base plate are available to prospective buyers. Six anodes (including two new ones fitted to the centre), and a galvanic isolator, ensure comprehensive protection from electrolysis.

Electricity is supplied via 240V shore power with 12V and 240V electrics throughout. There is a high-specification inverter/charger - a Victron phoenix multiplus 12 2500 120 - and 3 x 175W 12V Monocrystalline Solar Panels. These are connected via a 12v/24v MPPT charge controller. There are 3 new 12V leisure batteries in addition to a starter battery stored in the engine bilge. For most of the year the solar panels provide ample electricity to run 12V and 240V appliances without the use of shoreline electricity, which is perfect for cruising.
