Description

This is a Sheffield Keel built by Tyler Wilson in 2017.

The fit-out uses painted panels with just the odd piece of trim in oak which makes the interior very light, bright and contemporary. The rear hatch lifts easily on hydraulic arms and broad steps take you down into the boat. On one side of the steps there’s the electrical cupboard and a selection of units for storage. Inside, the galley is attractively decorated with white quartz worktops with glass splashbacks. The galley is in a broad U-shape across the back of the boat.

The saloon feels particularly spacious, in part because of a large, glazed dog box in the roof, allowing light to flood in. The broad gunwales mean radiators and a flat-screen TV can easily be tucked in underneath.

A corridor down one side of the boat takes you firstly to the bathroom, with wc, bath and shower, with a basin just outside the main bathroom door. There’s no shortage of light in the bathroom thanks to a large Houdini hatch in the ceiling. The second bedroom is big enough for a single bed or bunks, or it could be an office. The main cabin can fit a double bed. Other storage consists of good sized wardrobes. There is also space for bedside cabinets and a small dressing table. Above the bed, a window opens on to the front deck.

The rear deck is spacious, with an arc of built-in seating with back cushions. The stern pram hood also provides extra protection.

The marina has mains-fed electricity, broadband wi-fi and water supply at the pontoon. It is a secure gated pontoon, offering a sense of community with other boat dwellers and tranquillity in a superb location.
