Lee Navigation London UK|
'Marona-B' is a Hancock and Lane Cruiser Stern 40' Narrowboat, built in 1980 to the ‘Norsman’ specification.
This boat is an almost-complete project. She motors along nicely: the BMC 1.5 diesel engine has had a new exhaust, impeller and starter motor recently fitted. No recent hull survey, so would expect to sell subject to survey.
BSS certificate is valid to October 2023. New gas locker fitted as part of the compliance. Multi-fuel burning stove (wood or coal) and four ring gas oven both functional and safety tested.
The interior needs to be completed, but is habitable. From stern to bow the layout is: bedroom, bathroom, galley, saloon. The high-level jobs are: refitting the bathroom and galley (which have been stripped out); connecting the water tank to the boiler and bathroom/galley; boiler needs to be connected to the gas. Electrics work OK but could use a tidy up.
Engine: BMC 1.5 diesel
Fuel tank: 50 gallons
Water tank: 150 gallons
Batteries: 1 starter + 2 leisure (powered by solar panel on roof + engine alternator)
Comes with fenders, ropes, mooring pins, windlasses etc. The front door has a pet flap fitted for feline crew members (or a small canine!)
Currently located on the Lee Navigation in Greater London. Would suit someone who wants to enjoying cruising the network ASAP but fancies a project “on-the-go” to make it a proper liveaboard.
