Evie Sue is broads cruiser originally built as part of a holiday hire fleet for the Norfolk Broads. She was refitted in 2016 and is now a comfortable liveaboard that would be suitable for a single person, couple, small family or as a holiday boat.
Constructed out of glass-reinforced resin, Evie Sue is a nimble boat that was built to withstand the rigours of operation as a hire vessel. Length is 42 ft with a 12.2 ft beam and 2 ft draught.
Entering from the bow, which has a small deck and outdoor seating, the saloon and galley kitchen is open-plan. The kitchen has a three-hob burner, an oven and grill, Shoreline Marine 12v compact fridge and a sink with separate filtered water tap. Off the kitchen is a large dining table with a four/five-seat banquette with built-in storage. In the saloon, a Portway 1 multi-fuel stove heats the entire boat in winter. The saloon has space for one or two sofas/sofa beds.
Down a corridor towards the aft is a wetroom with a shower, sink and pump-out toilet. Water is heated via a calorifier. Across the corridor is a small room that has been used variously as a storage/dressing room and a child's bedroom (there is space for a small single bed plus storage). The aft cabin has a full-sized double bed with storage underneath.
Under the back deck is a four-cylinder, Perkins 4.108 diesel engine, which runs soundly. Four domestic batteries and one starter.
Two large solar panels on the roof meet electricity needs year-round, with a Sterling Pro Power Q inverter for onboard mains power.
