Dutch Westlander Klipper Barge,

This Vessel Comes with the Mooring.
The Boat:
This is a steel barge built in the 1930's, it is exceptionally good looking and very well made. It is 40 foot long and is 8 foot 6 inches wide.
The hull consists of double and single riveted seams stiffened with 40mm x 40mm angle frames, forming a spoon shaped stem, round bilge, rounded stern.
The cabin and the wheel house structure is also welded steel.
The engine is a perkins 4.108 four cylinder water cooled diesel engine with hydraulic gearbox.
On board there is a fore deck water tank, full size double bed, a galley with gas water heater , stove and butler sink, sea toilet, shower and a morso squirrel wood burning stove.
The exterior of the boat has been retreated and painted in the last month.
Van De Vecht had a full survey done in 2003, and has a Boat Saftey Certificate valid up until September 2008.
The Mooring:
The boat is being sold on the mooring, this means that once the boat has been bought, its new owners will be allowed to remain on the mooring. The mooring fees at present are £170 a month, and this includes, post box, security, electricity and water.
The mooring is a short walk from Brentford High street, and shopping facilities, as well as a short distance from a regular bus services, and from Brentford Train station.
The people at the mooring are friendly,genuine and enjoy the boat life.
This is a fabulous opportunity to buy something, that if loved, will never loose you money and will provide an exciting platform to an increasingly popular way of living.

Stottsund is a beautiful former Norwegian post boat, for sale on her residential mooring 5 minutes from Canary Wharf, London. She has a larch on oak hull, a pitch pine deck and an aluminium superstructure. Solidly built in 1947 for service inside the Arctic circle, this is a serious boat which could be cruised extensively. Seakindly, strong and manoevreable, Stottsund is also small enough to be comfortably handled by two.
Comfortable accomodation comprises one double cabin and one twin cabin, with four sofa 'bunks' if required. The superstructure comprises wheelhouse, saloon and galley. The saloon and wheelhouse feature lovely mahogany panelling and floor. Below is a toilet, lower saloon, double cabin and potential shower room. The twin cabin is accessed via a separate entry aft.
Webasto central heating (installed 2006) supplies 5 radiators and running hot water. A calorifier, with immersion heater, completes the setup.
Other equipment included: Lofrans electric windlass, gangway, 10 person liferaft, Tenfjord hydraulic steering, Furuno 841 radar (1999), Sailor RT144B dual watch radio. Sterling battery charger (new 2006) keeps the four batteries of the 24volt system in tip-top order.
Stottsund is registered on Part One of the British Register, thereby providing security to obtain a marine mortgage.
The residential mooring can be transfered onto new owners; current mooring fees are £260 per metre per year. The marina benefits from a strong community spirit, plus facilities including showers, laundry and potential for car parking. |

Goldberry is a beautiful example of a Springer and is currently continuous crusing in Central London on the Regent's Canal. I have lived aboard for one year comfortably and am only selling due to relocating. I took a winter mooring for six months, and have easily moved around for the summer months.
